Beth

Gender: Female

TNR status: Not fixed

Adoption status: Looking for a home

Hi there! I'm Beth, the smallest, gentlest soul of our Little Women litter. At 3 months old, I’m a precious calico girl looking for a quiet haven to call my own. I have a beautifully muted coat— like the printer ran out of ink just for me —and the biggest baby eyes! I'm calm, sleepy, and my foster family loves watching me nod off and startle myself awake. Since I’m the shyest of the bunch, I'd love to be adopted with my equally gentle sister, Amy. Together, we'll give each other confidence and blossom into the most loyal companions. I’m healthy, vaccinated, and thriving in foster care. Could your home be my safe harbor?

Hi there! I'm Amy, the delicate little artist of our Little Women litter. At just 3 months old, I’m a stunning calico-and-white girl, and I'm ready to find a gentle soul to help me truly blossom! While my sisters Jo and Meg are busy running the show, I’m the quiet, observant one. However, I’ve newly discovered my love for toys and definitely don’t want to be left out during playtime! I would love to be adopted with my favorite sister Beth! I’m fully vaccinated, microchipped, healthy, and dreaming of a quiet home to call my own.

Meg

Adoption status: Looking for a home

Hi there! I'm Meg, the sweet, gentle heart of our Little Women litter. At just 3 months old, I’m a beautiful calico girl, and I am officially searching for my forever home! I’ve been told I'm an absolute looker with the brightest, most vibrant colors of all my sisters. While my sister Jo is the bold adventurer, I’m the most cautious and observant of the bunch. Because of my gentle nature, I share an incredibly deep bond with Jo—we love sharing our favorite nap spots! We would love nothing more than to be adopted together as a bonded pair. I’m healthy, vaccinated, microchipped and thriving in foster care. Could you be my perfect match?

What we do

What is Pearl Whiskers?

Pearl Whiskers is a community group looking after the cats of The Pearl Island. We care for its cat colonies: feeding stations, vet care, TNR, and day-to-day colony life.

Our goal is simple: keep the colonies healthy, and over time smaller, through TNR and adoption. We always do this humanely.

What is TNR?

TNR stands for Trap, Neuter, Return. It's the kindest, most effective way to care for a community cat colony. Removing cats doesn't work, because it just leaves room for new ones to move in. So we spay or neuter each cat and return it to its own territory. Over time, the colony gets smaller and healthier on its own.

Every cat we TNR is also ear-tipped: a tiny notch in the left ear marks them as already cared for, so they're never accidentally trapped twice.

  1. Trap

A trained volunteer identifies a cat that needs sterilisation and sets a humane, covered trap to keep the cat calm. Within hours, the cat is on the way to the vet.

  2. Neuter

The vet sterilises the cat under anaesthesia and adds a small notch to the left ear: the universal 'ear tip' marker that signals this cat has already been TNR'd.

  3. Return

After 24 to 48 hours of recovery, the cat goes back to the exact spot they were trapped. They live their life on familiar territory, with our feeding station and regular volunteer check-ins.

Want to help?

We're a small team with a lot of cats to look after. If you can help feed a colony, trap for TNR, or lend a hand where it's needed, we'd love to hear from you.
